“100 Years of Schrödinger's Equation (1926-2026)” Webinar
From 12:00 pm. to 1:15 pm. Possibility to attend the session in person or remotely. Location: PSL University headquarters, 60 rue Mazarine, Paris 6th arrondissement.
If you are a teacher, researcher, administrative staff member, or student at one of Université PSL's component or partner institutions, join us for the next webinar on PSL's major research programs!
One hundred years ago, Schrödinger's equation laid the foundations of quantum mechanics and transformed our understanding of the microscopic world. A century later, this equation continues to inform contemporary research, from semiconductors to superconducting materials, from matter waves to quantum technologies.
During this conversation, which is open to the entire PSL community, researchers from the SMARTWAVES and QUANTUM MATTER major research programs will look back on this scientific revolution and explore the legacy and relevance of this seminal equation, which continues to shape our future.
The session will be introduced by E.M. Mouhoud, President of Université PSL, and Anne Christophe, Vice President of Research and Innovation at Université PSL, and moderated by Cheryl Feuillet-Palma, Professor at ESPCI Paris - PSL, LPEM.
With contributions from:
- Marcel Filoche, CNRS Research Director at ESPCI Paris - PSL, Institut Langevin, researcher within the SMARTWAVES Grand Program
- Frédéric Chevy, professor at the École normale supérieure - PSL, LPENS, co-leader of the QUANTUM MATTER Grand Program
- Nicolas Bergeal, professor at ESPCI Paris - PSL, LPEM, co-leader of the SMARTWAVES Grand Program.
The webinar will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience and will be recorded live.
